Here is a mini gallery of some of the perennial and biennial flowers that I grow for May flowers…….I hope this helps people who are looking to buy flowers and wonder what’s in season in Cumbria, and couples planning their May weddings who want to use British flowers.

Aquilegia, also known as Columbine and Fairies’ Bonnets
Bistort or Bottlebrush
Bluebells (this one is Spanish)
Forget me nots (Myosotis scorpioides)
Hesperis Matronalis also known as Sweet Rocket
Perennial Cornflowers, can be dark plummy colour too.
The flowers can be put together to make a bouquet like this.
