Come and join us at Only Willow Studios in Kirkby Stephen for a relaxed and creative morning in an inspiring venue!
We will create either an illuminated letter or a picture on A4 paper using pressed flowers, coloured paper and pens.
I provide the pressed flowers (grown in my garden just outside Kirkby Stephen), paper, glue, pens, coloured paper etc and a clip frame and mount for your finished work. We can also make cards and parcel tags.
No previous experience needed, and if you’re worried about lack of drawing skills, don’t be! I’ve made templates to draw around for your letters to use if you want. It’s a fun and creative way to spend a morning, it’s a bit like scrap booking, using stickers in journaling and all that sort of thing, only we’re using real flowers instead!
I have lots of different coloured flowers, leaves, petals to inspire you.
We can talk about about how to press flowers successfully, and I’ll answer any questions you might have. All the flowers are grown in my cutting garden in Kirkby Stephen. I’ll bring a flower press for you to see.
Coffee/tea and cake will be provided to keep you going and well fuelled. If you’d like to come along, the price is £42 which includes all materials, drinks and treats. You will go home with a picture in a frame and maybe a new hobby!

Accessibility: There is one step up from the street into the main studio area where we are holding the workshop. There is a toilet, and once you are inside the studio building all the facilities are on one level.
